unforgettable

there are words
that the mouth cannot speak
feelings that pen
cannot put into writing
nor the eyes can reveal

there are sorrows
that smiles try to conceal
emotions tied for expression
pain that throbs like eternity
and scars that never heal

there are memories that outgrow time
and can never be put to oblivion
people who have touched our lives
who made a difference in us
and are simply unforgettable...

The poem UNFORGETTABLE was spoken by a person who experienced different changes in his life brought by people around him that gave meaning to his existence. He was a person reminiscing the past of his journey in this world. This happened during a time of SILENCE wherein the speaker recall some unforgettable events which somehow contributed to the development of his well-being.The central purpose of the poem is about looking back into your past life's events and carrying out memories that helps you to establish as a better catalyst of the society. It showed a tone of AMUSEMENT and EMPTINESS.AMUSEMENT because he was very much overwhelmed of the feeling that he was not alone in his life and EMPTINESS for having nothing so intolerable as to be in a state of complete rest, without passions, without occupation, without diversion, without effort. Then he feels his nullity, loneliness, inadequacy, dependence, helplessness, emptiness. This was achieved by simply stating the memories of the past. The diction was GENTEEL/REFINED namely by the following words:memories that outgrow time;oblivion;simply unforgettable. The stated words were used as refinement for the reader to make an appropriate understanding about the poem. There were imagery of SIGHT(visual images)being used.Figures of speech are being used such as PERSONIFICATION-"eyes can reveal".."there are sorrows
that smiles try to conceal.SYMBOLS-"scars,that symbolizes prints of sadness nor happiness:"eternity, that symbolizes ever lasting grief".HYPERBOLE-"pain that throbs like eternity";"words that mouth cannot speak".

The speaker is the author herself and I guess the author is being sentimental.
It might be during a special occasion when the author remembered something or a memory of before that flashed back;and the setting place might be indoors.
The central purpose of the poem is to inform. Wherein the central idea of the poem tells us that there are really times or moments in our life that we tend to forget but we can't. There are really some point in life where we can't forget the event, person, or the feeling that lies behind it.
For me all the words are well chosen because I know that it came from the heart of the author and I can sense the emotion.
I can see an image of a person alone in his room, thinking of something or just simply reminiscing. He wanted to write something but can't start the words to write; he wanted to speak but doesn't know the words to utter.
Tone: Sad/Sentimental

The speaker is the author herself and i think the author this time is being sentimental. The occasion is, during the time when he/she remember, his/her unforgettable experienced before. The setting place is maybe indoors. The central purpose of the poem is to inform the readers that there are times in our life that we try to forget but its hard forget it. Especially, if it is a special person or event for us, or even the person who hurts us . I can see an image of a person alone, while his/ her thinking something or his/her just reminiscing. The tone of the poem is sad and sentimental.
"He wanted to write something but can't start the words to write; he wanted to speak but doesn't know the words to utter." i think its personification.

7.) significant memories that are unforgettable.

8.) soft and touching

11.) Simply Unforgettable- These words touches and opened my mind, heart and soul. Because we usually remember people that have done great to us. We didn't put so much value to those who have done little things to us.

12.) mix imagery where there are happiness and sadness.

If you say it is unforgettable… . a person, a place or a thing means a lot to you.. It is not easy to forget things that you yourself have a deep feeling of attachment or you have special thought if you will think of that event, thing or a person. Being attached so much with someone makes you sometimes feel sad.. if you have done something that regrets you most and happy… if you did good things and memories. But I think life is more about acceptance… on how would you want to stay that person in your mind. Thou it is really hard to forget meaningful things but I think to forget special person or event will need and will take a long time in order for you to perfectly forget about it. There was this saying “if you will never say goodbye, you will never say Hello.”

--- I like it when the writer pointed this line “people who have touched our lives who made a difference in us and are simply unforgettable...”
