When I say listen to me

When I said “why?” I meant you speak up
When I said “it’s okay” I meant you forget it
When I said “go ahead” I meant it’s up to you
And when I say “please”, I meant you listen to me…
I am begging…

When I said “I don’t know” I meant I had doubts
When I said “maybe” I meant I wasn’t sure
When I said “of course” I meant to assert
And when I say “I love you”, I meant you listen to me…
I am sincere…

When I said “don’t bother” I meant it’s no big deal
When I said “yes”, I meant you can have your way
When I said “no” I meant let’s take another option
And when I say “enough”, I meant you listen to me…
I’m fed up…

When I said “alright” I meant you go on
When I said “I’m losing you” I meant hold on
When I said “I care” I meant you’re in my heart
And when I said “goodbye”, I meant you listen to me…
I am leaving…

When I said “it’s too late” I meant time has been wasted
When I said “one more chance” I meant we start all over again
When I said “sorry” I meant I admit it was my fault
And when I say “no more” I meant you listen to me…
It’s over…

comment:
the poem is about time. theirs always a time for everything and a feelings behind words. and also their also a ambiance of regret, forgiveness and love in the poem. for me theirs a couple in the poem. one was saying those word to his/her partner perhaps they're living in the same roof and encounters each other every millisecond but the time and words made them apart, and everything came to its end.

We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.

Tone: sad/sorrow/lonely

Comment:
Love is not always perfect at thesame time , love can commit mistake also , but the most important thing to do is listen to your heart what is felt it for.

words are meant to say and it is meant the listeners to understand what we are trying to say.

tone:
serious, sadness, loneliness

comment:
as what I had understood about the poem, it is about a person who was expressing herself to a certain person whom she love and she is asking that certain person to lean some ear to everything that she say. She need to be understood and to hear her heart speaking.

"Miscommunication can blur out love."

tone:
gloomy, regretful

comment:
Love has to be expressed in the least subtle way. it is important for lovers to understand each other. they must share the same language of love. and speak of it from their hearts. love, per se, is executed and not only spoken, but as a fundamental truth, two people must express love through words, because words are sometimes more vivid and less understand than actions. in the poem, it is apparent that there has been refret because one did not quite understand what the other has been trying to say in the first place. the poem is about a regretful love that is bred by barred thoughts.

what is the general truth about the poem?
-the words that we utter are meant to convey meaning that need to be given attention by the recipient.

comment:
-the persona in the poem is someone who is a lover. he/she is trying to let his/her lover to listen to him/her perhaps his/her lover doesn't give him/her a chance to speak up to be listened. this poem is representing to us that listening is important. if only we would listened, we would understand it more than hearing these words.Because behind those words there is emotions.

Theme:Language is the mirror of one's identity, we speak to be heard and we listen in order to share.

tone: serious

Comment:
The poem talks about oneself and how the author use or defined the words and phrases may signifies one thing (it can be a beginning or an end). it also further describes how the author use her own language and define it's own meaning to what she believes in to. not everything to be done, requires lenghty of words but a single word or two can already express what you tryi9ng to say. it can be in a form of a question, an affirmation and objection. by reading so, i learn more the value of a word and what it's possible meaning. it can be a guide.
